It feels like just yesterday we were on Capitol Hill for ECA's 2023 Legislative Action Day. Since then, business
events industry's policy priorities have been advancing: visa wait times in many countries have come down, and proposals to help us attract and train our future workforce are moving forward.

With momentum growing, ECA is thrilled to announce that our 2024 Legislative Action Day will take place in Washington, DC on Thursday, May 30, 2024!

Once again, Legislative Action Day will bring industry leaders and advocates from across the business events ecosystem to Capitol Hill to meet with policymakers on Capitol Hill about ECA’s top federal policy priorities.

Just like last year, ECA will provide you with everything that you will need to raise your voice on behalf of the industry:

·        Pre-event virtual policy briefings, talking points, training, and more

·        Kick-off breakfast with deep dives on ECA's top policy priorities

·        Scheduled meetings on Capitol Hill with policymakers and their staff

·        Post-event "Thank you!" reception with your peers and colleagues

Registration for ECA's 2024 Legislative Action Day is free!

In 2024, Congress has  the opportunity to positively impact our industry’s ability to drive economic growth, support job creation, and empower small businesses nationwide. But for that to happen, our lawmakers on Capitol need to hear from all of us! That's why EDPA hopes that you will be able to join us for Legislative Action Day 2024 and help us raise our collective voice on behalf of the industry once again.

EDPA & Exhibitor Group Welcome Students to EXHIBITORLIVE

For nearly two decades, Exhibitor Group and the EDPA’s University Affiliation Program have provided an exhibit space for Bemidji State University and FIT/NY design students to introduce themselves and to share their portfolios with prospective employers at EXHIBITORLIVE. The students also use this time to attract design companies to sponsor them for internship opportunities to augment their curriculum.

Each year, before EXHIBITORLIVE officially opens the doors to the exhibit hall, EDPA provides a guided tour to meet different types of exhibit industry suppliers, EDPA members, and supporters of the program. The purpose of the tour is to see the exhibit hall in what may appear to some in a state of chaos and anxiety. The students also learn to be aware of what they design, as someone has to build it.  This year students from Tennessee State University Events Management program will also join the tour.

“The insight the students gain from attending EXHIBITORLIVE is invaluable," said Dana Esposito, EVP, Strategy, BlueHive Exhibits, and a co-chair to the EDPA University Affiliations Committee. "We are so thankful to OCTANORM and EXHIBITORLIVE for providing a space designated for the FIT and BSU students. This is an important opportunity for the students to network for their future and to practice showing their portfolios. The students pay to travel to the show and participate in educational tours, and it is a big deal all around! This partnership has become more important through the years, as many of these students will be members of our future workforce.”

We invite you to meet the next generation of designers from BSU and FIT at EXHIBITORLIVE.

Beneficial ownership reporting is an effort to help prevent money laundering and other financial crimes by requiring those with control over certain entities to provide identifying information. In this webinar led by Rob Cohen of DS&L, learn and be aware of the basics of:

  • Why do I need to file another report?

  • Who needs to report and do exemptions from reporting exist?

  • Who is considered a beneficial owner?

  • When am I required to file my initial report?

  • What kind of information needs to be reported?

  • Where does the reporting information get filed?

  • Who has access to this information?

  • What happens if an entity does not comply with the reporting requirements?
