If you’re participating in a career fair, speaking to students, or introducing someone to our industry for the first time, these videos are a great way to showcase the wide range of roles, pathways, and possibilities that exist in our world. They’re designed to help you spark interest, start conversations, and make our industry more visible to the next generation.

What is a Trade Show?

Trade shows are where industries come together to do business, launch ideas, and shape the future—and behind every moment is a skilled workforce of builders, designers, technicians, producers, and problem‑solvers who make the show happen before the doors ever open.

Venues and Career Opportunities in Trade Shows

Whether you call this the events industry, the trade show industry, or even the exhibition industry, one thing is for certain. It all starts with a venue. Our aim is to inspire students, faculty, instructors, and counselors to take a closer look at the largest industry that nobody knows about.

We are seeking high school, trade school and college level partnerships across the country, in hopes to improve awareness about our industry and the amazing variety of career opportunities available. This is an effort that we share with other like-minded associations and organizations within our industry, and we intend to collaborate, when possible, to improve and expand awareness.

The Future Workforce Initiative, driven by our volunteer members, has embraced the challenge to create new connections beyond our close industry circles, and inspire the next generation of talent to pursue their future within the Trade Show and Event industry.
