Event Description
Lunch & Learn with Al Simon
Psychologists say that people have two over-riding needs when it comes to communication: They want to be heard, and they want to be understood. Yet in real life conversations, many people only focus on meeting their own needs and do not focus on making sure those with whom they are communicating are being heard and understood. The best communicators have this other-oriented focus. Once you master this type of focus, people will want to communicate with you, because they will see you (subconsciously) as someone who makes them feel good about themselves. And as a by-product, you yourself will also be heard and understood!

Applying Transactional Analysis to the Sales Situation:
Much of our personality is shaped by early childhood influences and teachings—messages that we carry with us throughout our lives. In this module, participants will learn about the components of their personality that influence their behavior, how they were developed, and the impact they have on their selling success. They’ll learn how to identify repetitive, non-productive behavior and how to replace it with more appropriate behavior.
