EDPA’s EDDIE Award for Marketing Excellence Honors Outstanding Single And Multiple Media Marketing Campaigns
(December 9, 2005) Atlanta, GA-- Exhibit industry companies, including Derse, Exhibit Works, RES Exhibit Services, Roadway Express, Nth Degree, and Abex Display Systems displayed effective self-promotion marketing programs and were rewarded for their efforts last week with an EDDIE Award at EDPA’s Annual Meeting awards luncheon in Tucson, Arizona.
Invited to present their “smart strategy, creativity and measurable return on investment” 19 domestic and international companies entered the EDDIE competition with campaigns representing single and multiple media.
In the single media category, first place was awarded to Nth Degree, second place went to Abex Display Systems and third place to RES Exhibit Services. For multiple media, tied for first place were Derse and Exhibit Works, second place went to Roadway Express and third place went to RES Exhibit Services.
Entries included companies' best self-promotions, representing virtually all media -- direct mail, advertising, websites, exhibits, DVD’s, and more. According to Awards Committee Chair, Jessica Brenner of MICE North America, “The most effective EDDIE entries are those that display their creativity and prove to the judges that the marketing campaign displayed by their company succeeded in the marketplace."
The EDDIE entries were selected by an appointed panel of three judges representing professional expertise in the fields of advertising and exhibit industry marketing. Jill Brookman of Exhibit Builder Magazine, Susan Brauer of Brauer Consulting Group and Mark Bendickson of Contorno Design Group Inc., served as the competition’s judges.
Companies submitted entries for single or multiple marketing media produced and released between November 1, 2004 and November 1, 2005. Membership in EDPA was not a requirement to enter. For more information on the EDDIE Awards and specific requirements, visit www.edpa.com.
