“What’s your Problem? Need a Solution” Meeting Recap
As Reported in Exhibit City News:
The Northern California Chapter of the EDPA hosted its networking event in Palo Alto, Calif., on February 16. Held at the Bryant Street Gallery, conversations at the EDPA Networking Event were primarily on the topic of “What’s Your Problem?” Many connections were made as attendees discovered new suppliers and new approaches to their challenges in the industry.
Attendees heard about the biggest changes in the industry and learned about what other companies are doing to overcome the problems that they face in their event business.
Attendees were also encouraged to bring their own set of challenges to the table so they could discover solutions that could be implemented in their day-to-day operations.
The event also featured the latest information on industry trends, research and predictions. Industry veterans from NorCal EDPA gave an overview of multiple research results and key economic indicators, all of which provided a rundown of data points for 2012 and beyond.
Chapter President, Loren Ellis, The Velocity Group, drove the content and invited everyone to attend the May meeting and our annual golf tournament in August.
“We connected a wide variety of industry veterans to one another and I witnessed many business cards being exchanged for future opportunities,” said Ellis.
Overall, 35 exhibit industry professionals attended the networking event. “We had designers and suppliers in attendance, as well as some consultants and marketing communication managers,” said Ellis. “The success of an event like this depends on the attendees. We happened to have some of the top talent in the Bay Area attend, exchange challenges and receive solutions.”
