EDPA Lone Star Chapter Announces Scholarship Winners
Dallas — November 2009 — The Lone Star Chapter of the EDPA would like to congratulate Haley Glidewell, their first full four-year scholarship recipient. Haley is the daughter of well-known industry professionals Darrell and Kathy Glidewell. Haley is attending the University of Texas in Austin where she is studying accounting. She plans to get her masters degree in public accounting.
As luck would have it a second recipient was selected by the EDPA Foundation; that selection just happened to be Haley’s step-sister, Kayleigh Simpson. Kayleigh attends the University of North Texas in Denton where she is studying Radio, TV and Film. Kayleigh plans to work “behind the scenes,” perhaps utilizing her strong writing skills.
These scholarships would not be possible without the contributions and help of all industry professionals across the country. The Lone Star Chapter would like to especially thank those that sponsored and participated in the Lone Star tournaments to help make Haley’s full scholarship possible. These good deeds and support will always come back around; these young ladies and other recipients across the country will graduate school and become productive young adults in our society. We look forward to many more success stories in the years to come.
