The 2008 EDPA Foundation Silent Auction & President's Gala presents an evening of Industry Awards, recognition, and passing of the gavel on Thursday, December 4 at 6:30. Bid on some items, donate some money, mix and mingle with your industry cohorts all the while enjoying good food and the presentation of industry awards. We request you dress your best in cocktail attire.
Where will the money go?
The EDPA annual auction proceeds will help fund important foundation initiatives such as the International Student Design Scholarship Competition, Educational Programs like the FIT Masters Degree Program in Exhibit Design, and industry families in need.
What kind of items are needed?
We need donated items. If you wish to make a donation, items could include exhibit industry products and services, lodging, dinners for two, sports or concert tickets, facials, massages, premium beverages and wine, or any other item you think would be of interest to our members. We also accept a cash donation to be used to buy auction items.
What do you get in return for your contribution?
Increased awareness for your company from the following:
- Coverage in the January 2009 issue of Exhibit City News
- Mention in the EDPA Press Releases and emails and the January EDPA Newsletter
- Mention on the EDPA Acess website, with your company name and description of donated auction items
- Recognition at the auction and in the auction program guide
- Tax Deductible donation to the EDPA Foundation

Complete and fax (or mail) an entry form to Carrie Brown (203) 286-2286, listing your donated item.

Items will be accepted at ELITeXPO Cargo Systems through November 21, 2008. Donated items shipped directly to the Doral Golf Resort & Spa
must arrive by 4:00pm Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Please make sure your
item is labeled for "EDPA Silent Auction". Due to limited space, auction
items will not be accepted after 4:00pm on December 3, 2008.
NO WALK-UP items will be accepted. Please be sure to include a brief description and approximate value with your item.
If your donation is a gift certificate or letter, please prepare a letter of congratulations on your company letterhead to be handed to the winning bidder at the auction. The letter should include congratulations, what the winner receives, any restrictions, who they should contact, and any applicable expirations dates.
If you wish to furnish photographs, brochures, or further information on your products or services, these will be displayed at the auction site.
