With the generous support of many companies and individuals across the exhibit and event industry, Exhibit 4 Smiles and the EDPA Foundation (EDPAF) delivered gifts and smiles to more than 200 children with life-threatening diseases this past holiday season.
In collaboration with the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada and the Children’s Hospital at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Exhibit 4 Smiles and the EDPAF identified chronically ill children in Las Vegas and Chicago and matched them up with sponsors. The sponsors then purchased gifts, which volunteers wrapped and delivered at the two locations December 21 – 23. Photos and videos were shared so sponsors could see first-hand the impact of their gift.
“Thanks to the support of the EDPAF and so many people across this great industry, over 200 children in Las Vegas and Chicago had an opportunity to smile and be innocent kids again,” says Costas Varkarotas, founder of Exhibit 4 Smiles. “They felt our love and support from all over the world, and I know Exhibit 4 Smiles will only grow in years to come.”
“The EDPA Foundation is very proud to have been part of this initiative in 2011,” says David Walens, chairman of the EDPA Foundation. “I was honored to participate in the Chicago delivery and see the smiles and tears from the children and their families. Exhibit 4 Smiles grew significantly this past year, and we want to enlist the support of local EDPA Chapters across the country to help this important program expand and reach many more deserving children in 2012.”
