B2B Communications Debuts BOSS Exhibit Awards Program

Boss screen shotB2B Communications, the producer of EDPA’s trade show calendar at recently debuted a new awards program to celebrate the creativity on display in the tradeshow industry. The Best of Show Series (BOSS) Exhibit Awards program highlights the best exhibits, designers and producers at major tradeshows and conventions.

Current categories for the BOSS awards include custom exhibits, system exhibits, and 10-by-20 or smaller displays. After launching the program in Las Vegas in May, the BOSS awards will be targeting major tradeshows and exhibitions in throughout the U.S.

“We may work in a multi-billion dollar industry, but our friends, family and the rest of the world has no idea what we do for a living or that the tradeshow industry employs thousands of highly skilled designers, sales people, account managers and suppliers,” said Vince Battaglia, BOSS’ national accounts manager. “The BOSS awards program is designed to showcase the creativity of designers and producers by celebrating the best tradeshow exhibits in the country.”

Exhibits that are nominated by the B2B staff compete for the BOSS award against four other competitors. Industry professionals can then vote for the winning displays at www.bossexhibitawards.com.

“Voting starts one week after a tradeshow closes and continues until the next set of nominees from a new show are available,” said Battaglia. “Our content will be continually changing while we discover which companies are designing and producing the best exhibits on the show floor.”

BOSS awards are designed to highlight the exhibit designers as they receive recognition of their peers. The awards also help to inspire new ideas to create displays that engage potential customers.

“The BOSS Awards are great fun for everyone,” said Caroline Meyers, director of corporate communications for MC2. “The exhibitors appreciate the attention and the winning exhibit houses get to promote their work without being too self-serving. Voting for your favorite booth follows in the footsteps of America’s viewer choice tradition.”

The winning exhibit builder for each category will be highlighted on the BOSS website for a full year after the conclusion of the voting. The builder will also receive a link to its website.

“We are honored to have won a BOSS Exhibit Award,” said Mel Blackwell, executive vice president of Expotechnik Group. “We will keep trying to create award-winning solutions for our clients. We appreciate you taking this venture on and making it happen in our industry.”

So far, awards have been given to exhibit builders at six shows including, ICS West, NAB, Clean, KBIS, Hardware and Recon. Voting will be available for licensing exhibits at www.bossexhibitawards.com on Thursday, June 23.
